Gayaza Hope Centre

Having started in 2008, Gayaza Hope Centre is one of the Pioneer programs in ECM Uganda. The Program works with three major categories of Children;

  1. Orphans
  2. Children with albinism condition
  3. Children with HIV.

Since its inception, the Gayaza Hope Centre has been engaged in several activities including child sponsorship; counseling and evangelism (through bible lessons, family and school visits and Saturday clubs); rescue and rehabilitation and skills development activities (like cookery and shoe making).

To solve the increasing number of school dropouts in the Gayaza area, we commenced implementation of the Shoe making project in 2016 and as a result, we acquired the necessary equipment/machines, and hired experts who trained the selected children in shoe making. With determination, most of the children acquired hands-on skills and are now mentoring others.
