Kyengera Hope Centre

The Kyengera Hope Centre, having been started in 2015, is one of the newest programs. The Program was started following the need to support a family that had 4 children living with Albinism that were experiencing abject poverty, stigma and discrimination. On the program, these children were later joined by 2 non-albinism children who equally needed rescue and support.

Kyengera currently has 3 on the child sponsorship program.

The Program is coordinated by Spire Derrick Sempuya, assisted by a volunteer, Ms. Nakayenga Faridah.

We conduct the following activities under the Kyengera Program;

  • provision of education and child sponsorship through both formal and practical education
  • Counseling, evangelism and guidance through Saturday club sessions, family visits and school visits
  • Practical skills development through Art and craft work.
  • Provision of Health support to the children.
